GQS Commerce Cloud online store — ecommerce.gqs-inc.com
Global Quality Systems, Inc. (“GQS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit or make a purchase through the GQS Commerce Cloud online store at ecommerce.gqs-inc.com (the “Site”) and use our training courses, e-learning, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Site or Services, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide to us.
When you create an account, place an order, enroll in a course, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, and billing or mailing address; your employer or organization name and job title; account credentials; order and transaction details; course enrollment, progress, assessment scores, completion status, and certificates; and the content of communications and support requests you send us. Payment card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor; GQS does not store full payment card numbers.
Information we collect automatically.
When you use the Site, we and our providers may automatically collect your device and browser type, operating system, and language; IP address and approximate location; the pages you view, links you click, and dates and times of access; referring URLs; and information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 2).
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, keep your session and shopping cart active, remember your preferences, protect the Site against automated abuse, and analyze usage. These include strictly necessary cookies (required for the Site to function, including security and bot-protection services such as Cloudflare) and analytics cookies. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any cookie banner presented on the Site; disabling certain cookies may limit Site functionality.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account, and process and fulfill your orders and payments;
- Provide access to courses and deliver the Services through our learning management system;
- Grade assessments, issue Certificates of Completion, and maintain training and completion records;
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
- Send transactional messages such as order confirmations, access instructions, and renewal reminders;
- Send marketing communications where permitted, from which you may opt out at any time;
- Operate, improve, secure, and analyze the Site and Services; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. Vendors that support the Site and Services — including payment processing, hosting and content delivery/security (such as Cloudflare), learning-management hosting, email delivery, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing services to us;
- Sponsoring organizations. Where an employer or organization purchases or sponsors your training (see Section 5);
- Legal and safety. To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, or protect against fraud and security threats; and
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Sponsoring Organizations and Training Records
Many of our Courses are purchased or sponsored by an employer or organization for its personnel. Where that is the case, we may share enrollment details, assessment results, completion status, and certificates with the sponsoring organization for training, recordkeeping, and compliance purposes — for example, to support NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC assessment activities. If your training is employer-sponsored, your employer’s own privacy practices also apply to information it receives.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business and legal purposes. Because training and completion records may be required to demonstrate compliance and support assessments, we generally retain course-completion records and certificates for the period required by the customer’s regulatory obligations or applicable law, and thereafter delete or de-identify the information.
7. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and Site-security and bot-protection services. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
California residents.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to request access to, deletion of, or correction of their personal information; and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13; we will verify your request as required by law.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site and Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information.
11. International Users and Data Location
GQS is based in the United States, and the Site and Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed and stored in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revised versions are effective when posted to the Site with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
